The Funky Tours

Ride to the Sunny South
The Grand Trunk Road

Two tours in the making for 2015. Two totally different tours but both as interesting as the other.

Ride to the Sunny South is a creation of my favourite places in India. Mumbai, Goa and Kerala.
All great areas along the west coast of India. I have given all my passion into creating this tour as it is something I have always wanted to do, to be able to share the best moments I had in India with others.
This tour is almost ready to launch. It will take us 14 days to over the road journey from Bombay to Calicut.

A short sum up:
  • Dharavi Slum tour
  • Heritage walk through the city
  • First class train ride to Goa
  • Old Goa & Panjim City walk
  • Canyoning or Cooking class in Palolem
  • Visit a local school for migrant children
  • Volunteer at a turtle conservation initiative in Kundapur
  • Watch a Bollywood film at a local cinema in Mangalore
  • Coorg & Wayanad disctrict
  • Calicut martial arts class visit
  • Ayurveda massage at 5* hotel Raviz Kadavu
The road trip is put together with a personal approach giving you the opportunity to ask me about tips and suggestions to do in your free time. Each tour will be a group of maximum 10 passengers allowing you to enjoy a personal and intimate experience. Connect with the group during the journey and by joining in with the group activities and have a laugh when getting to know each one over fresh Indian seafood feast or spicy curry dinners.
Open your eyes and let your senses take over, feel, taste, see and smell all new things.
But most of all have fun and enjoy the road trip in the Funky Bus!

The Grand Trunk Road is a tour that Conrad has travelled himself together with his wife some years ago. Starting from Amritsar at the Waga border with Pakistan to the other end of India, Kolkata. Ending at the biggest Banyan tree in India, a holy tree for Hindu believers.
With some of the best highlights of India like Taj Mahal in Agra, The Ganges in Varanasi and capital city New Delhi, this should be an approachable tour for one who wants to visit these highlights but likes the advantage of a small personal group and guides who have the experience on India inside out.
